    Job Description

    Torch Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company is currently seeking to fill a Program Planning & Control Analyst position in our Program Control Department.

    Successful candidate must be detail oriented, highly organized and self-starting. Should possess knowledge and capabilities to perform tasks related to budgeting, planning, tracking and cost/financial analysis. Should have a basic understanding of the Subcontractor process from RFQ to de-obligation of funds. Experience in the development of solutions regarding issues that arise on all Contract Types (CPFF, FFP, T&M, etc). Must be able to manage multiple tasks and program managers with competing priority levels. Under direct supervision will participate in the planning, tracking, analysis and reporting of projects. Participate in the development of budgets that lead to the establishment of a cost/schedule baselines. Track project costs and commitments, schedule performance, and monitors performance against the baseline. Review and approve purchase orders & invoices for Subcontractors & Consultants. Responsible for customer financial CDRL development and delivery.

    Job Requirements

    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or similar discipline with 0-2 years related experience in program planning/cost controls. Qualified applicant will have good communication (oral and written) skills and the ability to establish and maintain a close relationship with internal and external customers as well as work independently and take a proactive role to assure that items are completed on or ahead of schedule. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office to include – Word and Excel. Proficiency with Deltek Costpoint and TM1 / Focus Point software will be considered a plus.

    Position may require that candidate meet requirements to obtain a final security clearance to access classified information. Inability to obtain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for this position. Position is located in Huntsville, Alabama.
