Under the direction of the Chief Technology Officer, the Infrastructure Services Manager directs the activities of journey-level technical analysts and engineers, with oversight in the design, implementation, and maintenance of production systems. Infrastructure Services Managers are responsible for supervision of personnel, projects and system maintenance as required; preparation of estimates of fiscal year budgetary requirements; and other related work as required.
The Client is developing a multi-year network strategy to evolve the capabilities of local, wireless, wide area, and internet connectivity to support the increasing needs of Client s employees, residents and service providers. The Client has over 300 locations and supports high-speed data communications across all of these sites, as well as robust connectivity to data center and cloud services. The network strategy will help the Client take advantage of new and emerging technologies like software defined networks, digital network architecture, micro-segmentation, and zero-trust security. The network manager recommends and presents new technologies and strategic direction to executive management.
The responsibilities of the Network Manager include coordination and delivery of project activities related to transformation initiatives, architecting and designing technical solutions, defining and establishing new processes and tools, and overseeing 24x7 operational activities for a group of ITD s network engineers.
Qualifications:
The equivalent of five years of full-time increasingly responsible network infrastructure experience that included documentation and project management and at least three years of direct supervision and workload management of technical staff. (Possession of a Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university may be substituted for one year of technical experience.)
Desired Qualifications: 5 years providing leadership and guidance to a professional team of technical infrastructure engineers.
