JOB DESCRIPTION :
Incumbents will be proficient in the various systems, networks, security principles, and telecommunications theories, architectures, designs, and implementations. The Network Engineer will assist on all networking aspects, information security, and telephony services. Incumbent may be varied and widely dispersed and requires organization, scheduling, and may prepare and conduct formal training programs as required.

Essential Functions
· Oversee or perform technical support in the administration and maintenance of network hardware, firewalls, network security devices, security SOC, internet connectivity, VPN, client/server applications, operating systems, telephone systems, and all other related information and office automation systems and networking hardware or software.
· Manage the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all routers, firewalls, network appliances, layer-2 and layer-3 switches, and storage switches.
· Work with the Infosec Team to implement internet security using network firewalls, content filtering software, intrusion prevention systems, and other current network security techniques using the latest technology.
· Review and provide summary data of all WAN and LAN connectivity using network traffic analysis software and firewall logs.
· Assist in the management and design of firewalls, management of Nutanix/ESX virtual networks, and disaster recovery connectivity.
· Install, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot all KHS networking hardware and software to include Juniper OS upgrades, firewall upgrades, and internet content filters.
· Assist the Infosec Team in investigations.
· Administer the corporate VoIP network, to include configuring, maintaining, and upgrading the VoIP infrastructure, supporting applications, and network hardware.
· Maintenance of the UC platform, utilizing Cisco Call Manager, UCCX, Unity, and future cloud products.
· Review and manage all documentation for the physical and logical network, various client/server solutions, disaster recovery efforts, and other areas as needed.
· Monitor and maintain all network and system logs for performance, security, and troubleshooting to include: routers, switches, intrusion detection, VPN access, firewalls, operating systems, backups, client/server applications, and other software or hardware as needed.
· Assist the Systems Team in troubleshooting performance and connectivity of the Nutanix/ESX environment.
· Deploy and maintain network device log sources delivered to the SIEM environment.
· Resolve, and review escalated Help Desk incidents, change management requests, or problem tickets.
· Work as, or with, a Project Manager on project cost, resource estimation, tasking, and timely project completion.
· Work and communicate effectively with the various professionals throughout the organization.
· Review, write, or modify basic scripts to resolve performance problems and automate administration tasks.
· Proficiency must be demonstrated with the various Windows and Cisco telephony platforms, and security methodology in architecture, design, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
· MCSA, CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCP, and security certifications preferred.
Employment Standards
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field AND 10 years of progressive experience in a senior level technical capacity for a medium to large organization with a structured IT department.
