We welcome candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of our community across our clinical, educational, and research missions.

    Description:

The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences at Emory University School of Medicine is seeking a full-time Radiologist to join the thriving, expanding Division of Neuroradiology. The Division of Neuroradiology is staffed by 26 neuroradiologists who provide inpatient and outpatient subspecialty imaging services covering a wide range of neurologic conditions including dementia, epilepsy, brain tumors, multiple sclerosis, head and neck cancer, ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, trauma, and others. Position opening is for expansion due to increased volume, and eligible for remote work from anywhere in the continental USA.

    • This Emergency Neuroradiology position rotates 1 week on (7 days, 9-hour shift, 6p-3am) and 2 weeks off (inclusive of recovery, vacation, CME, academic). This equates to 121 clinical shifts per year. 17 weeks of remote clinical evenings per year! Primarily remote from anywhere in the USA except NJ, HI and Alaska.
    • The Emergency Neuroradiologist will focus their clinical care exclusively at one of the Southeast’s busiest Level 1 trauma and comprehensive stroke centers (Grady Memorial Hospital), providing interpretations overnight in conjunction with trainees.
    • The primary clinical scope will involve CT and CTA of the head and neck and MRI of the brain and spine. Although the scope can be 100% Neuroradiology, if candidates prefer, they will be able to read non-neuro emergency imaging.

Candidates should have a demonstrated career interest in emergency neuroradiology, possess strong clinical skills, highly function in the fast-paced, time-sensitive emergency setting and work well in a collaborative environment.

Candidates should be prepared to participate in both the clinical and non-clinical divisional activities, including education and trainee supervision. There are opportunities for additional extra duty clinical work for additional salary if desired.

The Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences is fully committed to recruiting and retaining a diverse group of faculty and staff and to promoting a sense of inclusion and belonging for every member of our community. This climate for promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion is critical to achieving excellence in patient care, teaching, and scholarship. Underrepresented members in medicine and radiology are highly encouraged to apply.

Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must be ABR Board-certified/eligible and eligible to obtain an unrestricted Georgia medical license. Candidates with subspecialty training or emergency imaging experience are desired. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and accomplishments.
