  • Job Summary

    The Human Resources/Payroll Manager reports directly to the President and Vice President. This position is responsible for oversight of HR and Payroll.

    Essential Functions:

    • Manage the staffing process, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring and onboarding.
    • Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state and federal regulations.
    • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution.
    • Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently.
    • Partner with management to ensure strategic goals are aligned with business initiatives.
    • Maintain HR systems and processes.
    • Analyze trends in compensation and benefits.
    • Nurture a positive working environment.
    • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
    • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
    • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions, and benefits administration, such as insurance and healthcare plans.
    • Process bi-weekly payroll.
    • Generate payroll reports, including tax fillings, benefit deductions and other required reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain confidentiality and data security standards for all payroll-related information.
    • Address employee inquiries and concerns related to payroll, providing exceptional customer service and support.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to conduct training.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and legal requirements.
    • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
    • Knowledge of different types of payroll software.
    • Strong leadership skills.

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field required.
    • Five (5) years of experience in Human Resources.
    • Three (3) years of experience in supervisory/management role.
