What We Need:

We are looking for a New Product Development, Project Manager to join our HNI Workplace Furnishings team.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading a cross function team from early product requirement development of HNI workplace furnishing brands into product development and thru implementation of new products in HNI producing locations. Additionally, this role Leads coordination of communication of all project information to all HNI customers including tracking to metrics and milestones including responsibility for project schedules and financials and drives process and product innovation with limited supervision.

What You Will Do:

• Manages multiple, simultaneous new product development projects.
• Understands & aligns team to customer requirements & drives project thru PDP process.
• Key understanding of up and downstream customer inputs & outputs from brands, product development, supply chain, operations, and sales & marketing.
• Drives value-added product design that both leverages insourced capabilities and an optimized supply chain to maximize economic value.
• Understands key financial metrics such as economic profit, gross margin, return on investment and understands how pull levers within design, operations, and supply chain to improve key metrics.
• Drives execution of a cross functional team to accomplish project goals in alignment with the company’s policy deployment objectives.
• Establishes and tracks project metrics and milestones and redirects resources when necessary.
• Provides insight and support to Product Business Managers and Product Portfolio Account Managers regarding competitive and internal positioning, statement of line, pricing, and other inputs including clear and timely communication of the impact of changes to these key deliverables.
• Participate in activities as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.

What You Have:

• At least 4 to 6 years of progressive responsibility in Product Development, Project Management, Operations, or related field.
• Proven track record of leading large, cross functional initiatives.
• Ability for Periodic domestic travel to designers, suppliers & outlying manufacturing locations required. No more than 10% of time.
