Job Announcement: R-Ranch Property Owners Association (R-Ranch Siskiyou) located in Hornbrook, CA, is now hiring an Operations Manager. R-Ranch is a 5,000 acre recreational ranch with 2 campgrounds, lodges, a gun range, fishing ponds, horse riding facilities, off-road trails, and rental homes/cabins. The Operations Manager ensures that the facilities at R-Ranch are maintained and that operations run smoothly. This position is a management level position that oversees maintenance and janitorial service, oversees volunteer projects, completes special projects, and interacts with other agencies to ensure that reports and permits are maintained. The Operations Manager works closely with the Hospitality Manager and the Board of Directors to accomplish the vision and mission of R-Ranch, to retain the current Owners, and to bring in the next generation of R-Ranch Owners. This position is a year-round 40 hour per week position, with days and hours negotiable. Work will be conducted at the R-Ranch properties. General Responsibilities, which can include:
Facilities: Ensure that facilities are maintained in a clean, well-kept and inviting condition. Areas of responsibility include irrigation systems, potable water systems, groundskeeping, building maintenance, repairs, construction, janitorial service, campground systems, and more.
Curb Appeal: Promote Ranch Ownership by increasing and maintaining the curb appeal of the facilities and grounds. Ensure that work orders are completed promptly and correctly.
Managing Budgets: Assist with the development of budgets, and operate within established budgets.
Administration: Manage the daily operations of R-Ranch related to maintenance, janitorial, agency interactions, special projects, and volunteerism. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and quality operations.
Employees: Build and lead a service-oriented team. Conduct regular staff training to ensure safety, professionalism, and friendly service.
Communication: Effectively communicate with the Board, the other manager, employees, and Owners about R-Ranch successes, challenges, and needs.
Agency Interactions: Initiate and maintain ongoing communication with outside agencies on behalf of R-Ranch, and ensure all documentation is provided to such. Agencies include federal, state and local agencies, legal counsel, insurance agencies, etc. Ensure all reports are filed and all operations permits are maintained.
Policy Enforcement: Enforce organization policies and property rules, ensure compliance with established labor laws, state and federal regulations, etc.
Other duties as needed.
