Essential Duties and Responsibilities

As a Facilities Supervisor, a typical day might include the following:

• Coordinating repair, maintenance, and installation of machinery, tools, equipment, and/or associated equipment to ensure continuous and safe operation of the venue
• Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work as per forecasted workloads
• Oversee the performance of preventative maintenance of HVAC systems, kitchen exhaust systems, kitchen refrigeration equipment and cooking equipment
• Ensuring all employees are correctly and consistently following facility maintenance practices and procedures, and reporting any issues to the Facilities team
• Ensuring facilities are in code and regulatory compliance with local agencies
• Conduct safety inspections as scheduled
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment problems
• Assisting as needed with new construction projects
• Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervise 10-15 subordinate maintenance technician employees
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

Skills/Qualifications

This job might be for you if you demonstrate the following abilities and meet the following qualifications:

• 2 years of experience as a maintenance supervisor required
• Strong knowledge of building trades, cleaning procedures and maintenance
• High school diploma or equivalent required, trade school or associates degree preferred
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices
• Effective budgeting and performance management
• Fantastic organizational and leadership skills
• Great eye for detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
• Computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related communication tools
• Great time management skills
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
