Description

Prevailance is seeking an experienced, mission-focused professional to support the Surface Warfare Engineering Schools Command (SWESC) as an Hull Technician (HT) Contractor Instructor, specializing in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT). This position supports SWESC providing operation, curriculum support (includes updates and maintenance of curriculum), administration, safety, and management support services for formalized naval training. 

Requirements

• Graduate of the Navy Instructor Training Course (CIN: A-012-0077) (NEC 9502) or equivalent instructor training course
• Have a minimum of three (3) years technical experience in the subject matter hired to instruct
• Have a minimum two (2) years of experience in a Military Training Environment
• Knowledge of learning principles, practices, and methods of presentation and delivery of course content, testing and remediation procedures, curriculum, training aids, devices, electronic podiums, TTE, lab equipment, equipment operation and maintenance procedures associated with the course

 Specific qualifications include: 

• Must be a former Senior (E5 – E9) HT with shipboard experience within the HT rating 
• Graduate of the following courses:

-Advanced Welding (A-701-0027)

-NDT of Metals Visual Magnetic Particle Liquid Penetrants Operator / Inspector (A-701-0033)

-Ultrasonic Inspector (A-701-0058)

• Have comprehensive knowledge in the area of safety, advanced welding techniques, non-destructive testing of metals and ultrasonic inspections used shipboard

Clearance

Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
