Nuclear Pharmacist under the direction of a physician, compounds and dispenses radiopharmaceutical drugs to medical care providers. Responsible for procuring, compounding, dispensing, and distributing radiopharmaceuticals. Being a Nuclear Pharmacist analyzes drugs for verification of identity and strength. Must have completed a program in nuclear pharmacy. Additionally, Nuclear Pharmacist may require an advanced degree of pharmacy. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Requires license to practice. Nuclear Pharmacist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. JOB SUMMARY
Provide competent and accurate pharmacist service in the acute care setting.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: See License and Certification.
Experience: None
Knowledge and Skills: Competent to provide prescribed medications and drug information as needed to ensure adequate patient care according to professional standards/practices and hospital policy/procedures.
License and Certifications: Current, valid Pharmacist license to practice pharmacy in the state of California. Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS card.
Equipment: Computer; Equipment related to the compounding of pharmaceuticals.
Physical Requirements: Able to perform the essential physical duties as noted on the job description.
PAY RANGE
$58.35 - $87.53
