Nuclear Pharmacist under the direction of a physician, compounds and dispenses radiopharmaceutical drugs to medical care providers. Responsible for procuring, compounding, dispensing, and distributing radiopharmaceuticals. Being a Nuclear Pharmacist analyzes drugs for verification of identity and strength. Must have completed a program in nuclear pharmacy. Additionally, Nuclear Pharmacist may require an advanced degree of pharmacy. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Requires license to practice. Nuclear Pharmacist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement. JOB DESCRIPTION
To provide quality care to patients undergoing imaging procedures. The Radiology Technology Assistant must also demonstrate full knowledge of the imaging procedures within their assigned modality.
The Radiology Technical Assistant will adhere to all applicable safety policies. They will work under the direction of the Modality Technologist, Modality Lead or Supervisor, and Imaging Manager.
