Overview:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) reports to the Coordinator of Hospital Medicine Advance Practice Clinician, Vice President of Physician Services, and the primary care physicians in accordance with the collaborative practice agreement and NP scope of practice. The NP, under the direction of the Hospitalist Providers, will provide primary medical management in the hospital setting and other healthcare entities, as needed, for patients under the care of the Hospitalists physicians, including assessment and management of patients, education, program coordination and research. The NP will assist in the development and implementation of clinical standards and practices. The NP assures that standards for professional advanced nursing practitioner in the clinical setting are maintained.
