A fantastic Cancer Center in stunning Eastern Tennessee is looking for an Oncology Nurse Practitioner NP to join their team of Oncology Advanced Practice Providers. The Oncology Nurse Practitioner will practice collaboratively with fellow Oncology NP’s and supervising physicians to provide care for hematology oncology patients.
The Oncology Nurse Practitioner will work a mix of inpatient and outpatient. The NP Oncology will triage phone calls from patients, physicians, and hospitals, and perform evaluations for hematology oncology patients. Additionally, the Oncology Nurse Practitioner will perform responsibilities including but not limited to performing patient history, examination, chemotherapy treatment plan, and patient follow ups.
The Oncology NP will join an esteemed Oncology Group and healthcare organization. This Oncology Group has a strong Nurse Practitioner group and is expanding their Oncology NP team. Oncology patients required anything from complex chemotherapy management to primary care services.
The Oncology NP will have previous Nurse Practitioner experience in inpatient or outpatient Oncology, or acute care hospital specialty NP experience. There are both four day or five day schedule options and occasionally call time required but it is phone call and not in person call. Hours are typically 8:00 – 4:30 pm for a 5 day per week schedule.
