The Orthopedic OR Assistant Nurse Manager will directly report to the Orthopedic OR Nurse Manager. Serving as a direct leader to the Operating Room Nurses, the Orthopedic OR Assistant Nurse Manager must be readily available to provide their assistance and guidance during any pressing and/or critical situation.
The Orthopedic OR Assistant Nurse Manager will be expected to help manage and provide direct oversight to the orthopedic operating room while their team performs various orthopedic procedures. The Orthopedic OR Assistant Nurse Manager must hold their BSN and ideally have 1-3 years’ experience helping manage an operating room as well as a team of nurses. Equipped with cutting-edge technology within their orthopedic operating room, the Orthopedic OR Assistant Nurse Manager will be required to be well-versed in any and all clinical equipment utilized within their department. The Orthopedic OR Assistant Nurse Manager must be regularly informed regarding the care being administered within the operating rooms, and must be able to highlight their team’s strengths, and pinpoint any weaknesses and provide the necessary training to address any matter.
