Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatric works in collaboration with physicians to manage care for patients in a psychiatric setting. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatric requires a master's degree. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatric's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     Responsibilities may include:
    • Performing face to face or telehealth assessments and ongoing psychiatric visits with clients of all ages including children, adolescents, and adults. 
    • Complete assessments and visits within facilities such as long-term care and skilled nursing. 
    • Maintaining current patient records to clearly state problems, plans, actions, goals, and changes as they occur. 
    • Instructing and educating clients and their caregivers. 
    • Managing client medications. 
    • Providing psychotherapy services as needed.

    Requirements for this position include: 
    • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
    • PMHNP certification through the ANCC required.
    • Willingness to travel up to 1 hour (one way) for facility visits.
    • Experience in psychiatric, mental health and behavioral health services preferred.
    • Telepsychiatry experience preferred but not required.
    • Willingness to work with a variety of ages including children, adolescents, adults, geriatric, and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
