Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatric jobs in Tanner, AL
Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatric works in collaboration with physicians to manage care for patients in a psychiatric setting. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatric prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Provides primary care to psychiatry and at-risk patients. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatric requires a master's degree. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatric's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. The Position:
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner’s role with Pathway Healthcare is to use their full range of expertise by both evaluating and providing care to patients with psychiatric and addictions illnesses, and counseling patients using the latest evidence-based methods.
Qualified individuals will have:
- Current State Nurse Practitioner license in good standing
- Board Certified PMHNP
- Current DEA Registration
- Experience in OBOT or community health preferred
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 25 lbs.
