Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatric works in collaboration with physicians to manage care for patients in a psychiatric setting. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatric prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Provides primary care to psychiatry and at-risk patients. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatric requires a master's degree. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Nurse Practitioner - Psychiatric's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
We are Serenity Mental Health Centers, a fast-growing mental health provider focused on helping patients live their best lives using the most advanced therapies available. We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will be well-rounded and collaborative with a strong passion for patient care in the outpatient setting. The population that we work with, are patients with a strong desire to take back their lives from mental illness.
What You’ll Do
- Tend to the mental health needs of patients by diagnosing, creating treatment plans, then providing continuity of care and medication management.
- Focus on quality of care and patient satisfaction with an interdisciplinary behavioral health team.
- Focus of the practice is on adult patients age 18 – 60, but the Nurse Practitioner may be asked to see children, adolescent and adult patients.
- Maintain a collaborative approach and be willing to work with Serenity’s team to provide the highest level of patient care.
- Work within the EHR system and leverage excellent written and verbal communication skills to build and maintain a clinical rapport with patients.
- Collaborate with Serenity’s team to help patients with complex cases to find innovative solutions for long-term care.
What We Are Looking For
- Must have, or be getting your PMHNP.
- Must possess a valid and current Nurse Practitioner license.
- True passion for helping patients overcome their mental health struggles.
- Work well in a strong team environment.
- Continually learning and looking for the best treatment options available.
- Experience with TMS and/or Ketamine treatments for severe cases is a plus, but not required.
- Strongly prefer candidates who are open to working on Saturdays.
