Nurse Practitioner - Women's Health works in collaboration with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to provide medical care and treatment in women's clinic setting. Provides care to women from adolescence through menopause, with a focus on reproduction and gynecology. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Women's Health orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Women's Health assesses patient condition and may provide treatment using specialized medical equipment. Works in outpatient settings, responding to high patient volumes in short-term spans and dealing with unpredictable situations and issues. Follows established guidelines and protocols. Requires a master's degree. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Nurse Practitioner - Women's Health's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Certification and/or licensing in the position's specialty is the main requirement.     As a Nurse Practitioner, you will provide advanced nursing care to patients in various healthcare settings. Your responsibilities will include diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses, conducting physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and providing patient education. Responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive health assessments on patients - Perform physical examinations and record patient medical histories - Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory work and imaging studies - Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses - Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans - Provide counseling and education to patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care - Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation

    Experience: To be successful in this role, you should have the following experience: Knowledge of medication administration protocols - Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology - Experience using electronic medical record systems (Athena One) - Knowledge of psychopharmacology for the treatment of mental health conditions

    Requirements: - Valid Nurse Practitioner license in Alaska - Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program - Certification as a Nurse Practitioner - Current CPR certification.
