Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home administers the nursing program in a nursing home in the absence of the Nursing Director. Oversees operations in order to maintain standards of patient care. Being a Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home advises management, patient care staff and administrators in matters related to nursing service. Assists in the establishment and implementation of policies and develops organizational structure and standards of performance. Additionally, Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home interprets policies and objectives of nursing service to staff and community groups. Typically requires an advanced degree of nursing. Typically reports to the Nursing Director. Requires RN license. The Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Assist patient with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse when needed
- Administer medication and treatment as directed by healthcare professionals
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Attend and take to medical appointments
- Document patient information and maintain accurate medical records
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families

Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with people
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients and their families
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
