Nursing Director administers the nursing program in a hospital, nursing home, or other medical facility to maintain standards of patient care. Advises medical staff, department heads, and administrators in matters related to nursing service. Being a Nursing Director recommends establishment or revision of policies and develops organizational structure and standards of performance. Interprets policies and objectives of nursing service to staff and community groups. Additionally, Nursing Director requires an advanced degree of nursing. Typically reports to top management. Requires RN license. The Nursing Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.     This seasoned, established staff is searching for a Director of Nursing to assist in maintaining the excellent outcomes previously achieved, and be able to help support, grow, and maintain a thriving culture.     Position Description:
    Responsible for the administration and management of Nursing Services to residents in accordance with orders of the physicians and the total needs of the residents. Responsible for 24-hour supervision of Nursing Services and directs the Nursing Department to maintain quality standards of care in accordance with current Federal, State, and Company standards, guidelines, and regulations. In the absence of the Administrator, assumes the responsibility for center operations. The position conducts the nursing process – assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation – under the scope of the State’s Nurse Practice Act of Registered Nurse licensure.

    Principal Responsibilities

    • Assumes ultimate responsibility for coordinating plans for the total care of each resident which comply with physician’s orders, governmental regulations, and facility resident care policies.
    • Communicates and interprets policies and procedures to nursing staff, and monitors staff practices and implementation.
    • Support admissions team with clinical insight to make decisions and may visit prospective residents before admissions.
    • Participates in daily and weekly management team meetings to discuss resident status, census changes, personnel, or resident complaints or concerns.
    • Other duties, responsibilities and activities may change or assigned at any time with or without notice.

    Qualifications:
    Currently licensed as RN in the state practiced OR have the ability to trasnfer current RN license to Montana.

    • Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school required.
    • Five years in long-term or acute health care preferred; At least 2 years nursing supervisory experience required.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Salary: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
