Bilingual Early Education and Care Position Summary:
Child Development and Education, Inc. is seeking an energetic, outgoing individual to serve as the Early Education and Care Coordinator for the Cape area. The Early Education and Care Coordinator is principally responsible to coordinate all activities relating to curriculum development, implementation and evaluation, learning environments, and child assessments, as well as educational opportunities and training for home educators within the family child care system.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
· Conduct monthly home visits to each educator’s program, offering coaching, mentoring, support and technical assistance based on the individual educator’s needs
· Assist families with obtaining child care
· Enroll, place, and support children in educators’ homes
· Support educators in their professional development, including preparation of Individual Professional Development Plans
· Train educators during CDE Professional Development Days
· Participate in designing and implementing family engagement activities
Successful candidate MUST meet the following requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, or a related field
· Minimum of one year of experience working in the early childhood field
· Valid driver’s license
· Must pass a criminal background check
· Speak English and Portuguese
· Be thoroughly familiar with EEC contract, voucher, and priority population policies, regulations, and agreements
· Knowledge of QRIS standards
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Strong leadership and organizational skills
· Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8:30AM-5:00PM
