Oversees the design and implementation of curriculums to train and update skills and knowledge of in-service nurses. The Director is responsible for maintaining a developmentally appropriate program of quality child care in an environment where values are integrated and demonstrated. The Director will be responsible and accountable for the total program and services of the Early Childhood Center.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage day-to-day activities at our Program.
· Ensure that the programs complies with EEC licensing requirements and NAEYC Standards.
· Hire, train, evaluate, supervise and dismiss teachers and staff.
· Provide leadership and supervision of interactions, activities, and materials appropriate for teachers and young children’s emotional, social, intellectual and physical development.
· Plan, manage and monitor the Early Childhood Center’s finances to ensure resources for a high quality
program.
· Protect and enhance the health and safety of the children and staff at the Early Childhood Center.
· Maintain an inviting physical environment which fosters optimal growth and development.
· Facilitate fair admission and enrollment.
· Inform and welcome parents as observers and contributors to the program.
· Provide professional assistance to the Board of Directors of the Early Childhood Center.
· Represent the program in the community.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Must have Early Childhood Administration Credentials
· Must have relevant experience
· Must have leadership, management and organizational skills
· Must have NO criminal convictions for child related offenses, including neglect or abuse
