Occupational Medicine Director directs the design and implementation of occupational medicine service offerings that support the needs of local businesses and workers. Maintains working relationships with local industries to ensure current issues are addressed and that the needs of the working community are met. Being an Occupational Medicine Director analyzes occupation related costs and case data; reports trends and status to management. Develops programs, guidelines, and standards for occupational service delivery that support the organization's overall strategy. Additionally, Occupational Medicine Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. The Occupational Medicine Director manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function.     The Occupational Therapist evaluates patients, plans and implements an effective Occupational Therapy program based upon assessment, clinical judgement and psychological sensitivity for inpatients and/or outpatients with diverse diagnoses. Provides patient education, consultation and discharge planning, supervises and

    delegates patient care to Certified Occupational Therapists Assistants, Rehab Technicians and Occupational Therapy students. Contributes to the growth of Occupational Therapy Services by assisting with the development of new programs and outcomes/research activities; acts as an operational and clinical resource for staff in areas of expertise.

    Minimum Education

    Required: Masters Degree

    Required: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience

    Licensure/Certifications

    Basic Life Support (CPR)
