Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Assistant or Technician, you will assist the veterinarians in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Perform laboratory tests and analyze results
- Prepare animals for surgery, including prepping surgical sites and monitoring anesthesia
- Monitor vital signs of animals during procedures and recovery
- Provide post-operative care and administer appropriate medications
- Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
- Perform dental cleanings and assist with dental procedures
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, medication administration, and post-operative instructions
Preferred experience/Skills
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Technician preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members
- Ability to handle animals with care, compassion, and patience

-Able to lift 40-50lb
-Able to be down on the floor with patients when needed
-Punctual, reliable, coachable, and has a good work ethic
-Takes initiative and moves with a sense of urgency when needed
-18 years of age and older
