Job Summary
The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy of Fishkill, NY is in need of a dependable Cashier/Pharmacy Technician. It is a part-time position with competitive pay.
The ideal candidate is: Ambitious, punctual, detail-oriented and has good customer service skills.
Schedule: The Medicine Shoppe is open Mon. - Thurs. 9am - 7pm, Fri. 9am - 6pm, and Sat. 9am - 4pm. Shifts can be flexible within the hours of operation. Saturday coverage usually rotates between all pharmacy techs. Pay rate is negotiable depending on education/experience.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Typing/entering/filling prescriptions
- Assisting with incoming orders and inventory management
- Ability to handle calls with patients, doctors, and insurance companies
- Stocking and organizing merchandise on shelves
- Cashier duties
- Occasional delivery to local patients
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with running insurance claims a plus
- Formal Pharmacy Technician training a plus, but not required
- Retail experience is a plus
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification from an accredited body a plus
Education:
Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
