Occupational Medicine Director directs the design and implementation of occupational medicine service offerings that support the needs of local businesses and workers. Maintains working relationships with local industries to ensure current issues are addressed and that the needs of the working community are met. Develops programs, guidelines, and standards for occupational service delivery that support the organization's overall strategy. Additionally, Occupational Medicine Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. The Occupational Medicine Director manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Medical Receptionist

  • Responsibilities

    • Communication with physician on high priority issues and overall day-to-day operations;
    • Front office - greet patients and assist with paperwork prior to appointments as needed;
    • Update patient health records using medical software (demographics, insurance information);
    • Schedule and coordinate appointments;
    • Pre-cert procedures and obtain pre-authorizations for visits as necessary;
    • Prepare patient encounter forms for billing service and work in tandem with billing service in regards to patient financial responsibility with co-pays, account balances, etc.;
    • Answer patient queries ;
    • Collaborate with doctors and nurses to assist with scheduling tests and procedures;
    • Order supplies, including postage;
    • Train staff and new hires on HIPAA Privacy Practices;
    • Handle in-coming and out-going mail;
    • Receive and distribute deliveries as necessary;
    • Interact with building personnel (security, haz-med waste removal, janitorial, office vendors, equipment repair, etc.) as needed;
    • Process invoices for payment;
    • Maintain employee files and required employment forms (I-9, W-4, application, resume, etc.);
    • Organize system for payroll reporting;
    • Assist physicians with re-credentialing, licensure renewal, association memberships, as necessary;
    • Maintain office policies and procedures manual; and
    • Assist managing physician with administrative tasks as requested.

    • Understanding of medical office compliance with HIPAA, OSHA and employment laws;
    • Warm, outgoing and professional approach;

    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and proactive self-starter;
    • Strong written and oral communication skills;

    • Experience with Electronic Medical Records
    • Medical Office Management: 1 year (Preferred)
    • Medical Office: 1 year (Preferred)
    • Administrative: 1 year (Preferred)
    • Prior Authorization/Pre-Certs, Coding and Billing: 1 year (Preferred)

    Job Type: Part-time

    Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 33.5 per week
