This position requires population specific competencies. Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact this position requires.Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition and establishes a plan of care as appropriate. Provides therapeutic interventions appropriate to the age and disability of the patient. Provides timely documentation of delivery of occupational therapy services provided to patients. Educates patients, family, caregivers, significant others and staff.The Physical Performance Center boasts a supportive work environment with a dedicated team of occupational, physical, and speech therapists. We work with the team to look at an optimal schedule to meet both the needs of the facility, the patient, and the OT. This position sees a diverse population of patients treating hand, elbow, shoulders, acute post surgical care to repetitive injuries, degenerative disease to generalized non trauma preventative care. It includes referral sources from hand surgeons, general orthopedic surgeons and family physicians.
