JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking a Control Panel Wireman to work in our office in Eatontown, NJ.
The Control Panel Wireman will be required to perform all tasks related to the fabrication, wiring, and functional testing of an Industrial Control Panel. Fabrication will include, but is not limited to, PLC troubleshooting, Control Panel Wiring and Troubleshooting, reading and interpreting control panel schematics, and testing documentation. Upon completion of the control system, in some cases, the Control Panel Wireman will be required to visit customer sites to implement and support the Project Engineers.
The panel wireman position will help support the company efforts by assembling and wiring control panels for various industrial control projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS[ES1]

· Interpret Electrical Schematics and Control Panel Drawings.
· Knowledge of wiring PLC's, VFDs, pump motors, instruments and interconnection skid wiring
· Assemble components based on bill of material.
· Coordinate with project management and procurement staff to track project materials.
· Layout control panel components using general hand tools (i.e. Squares, Rulers, etc.)
· Mount equipment by drilling, tapping, and cutting enclosures and panels per prints and hardware instructions.
· Wire control panel components based on schematics and UL508A standards.
· Use Digital Multimeter, as well as other test equipment.
· Apply various methods of connection types based on component terminal styles.
· Organize wiring based on voltage level and Uptime Automation standards.
· Perform field panel modifications and field terminations, as required.
· Operate wire and terminal labeling equipment via computer and handheld.
· Assist with receiving and organization of project and stock material.
· Clean and organize shop floor as required.
· Such other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· Two-year technical degree, or equivalent panel wiring experience with high school diploma
· Tools will be provided by Uptime Automation.
· Understanding, or willing to learn UL508A Control Panel Standards.
· Demonstrated ability to operate shop equipment, including drills, jigsaws, and miter saws.
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS[ES3]
· Must be authorized to work in the USA.
· Must be at least 18 years old.
· Must have a valid, good standing driver’s license

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Mix of indoor and outdoor shop environments, and occasional customer site work. Customer sites may contain equipment that processes hazardous or flammable substances.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, and kneeling. The employee must frequently lift and move items over 75 pounds; lifting control panels and control panel equipment. Operation of power tools such as drills, jigsaws, and miter saws.
POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
· This is a full-time position, but will consider part-time.
· Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 40 hours per week.
· Overtime will be necessary on occasion, depending on shop workload and client schedules.
TRAVEL
Travel will be required on occasion. Travel will be local, but required. Reliable transportation will be required.
