Basic Function
To ensure the smooth operation of the office.
Responsibilities
1. Evaluate and treat patients in accordance with Provider’s orders and referrals.
2. Prepare and implement patient treatment plans.
3. Document patient treatments and plans of care, and scan in appropriate patient records.
4. Answering queries from patients or referring them to a contact point that would further help them.
5. Liaising with other departments regarding any matters pertaining to patient issues.
6. Reporting to Practice Manager any building maintenance issues.
7. Assist with other departments that may be short staffed; including the Administration team. Respond promptly to all Administration Team requests.
8. Ensure efficient operation of Practice to include supervision of staff.
9. Supervise day to day operations of the office.
10. Ensure that the highest standard of customer service is delivered to patients.
11. Ensure a speedy resolution to all problems that arise on a daily basis, patient, Provider or staff related. If unable to resolve contact the Practice Manager.
12. Ability to work under pressure.
13. Strong communication and organizational skills.
14. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards.
15. Knowledge of opening and closing the office procedures. Must ensure the office is closed properly every night.
16. Notify the Practice Manager when supplies need to be ordered.
17. Knowledge of medical terminology.
18. Explain office policies to patients as needed.
19. Maintain a clean and orderly reception area and all work areas.
20. Serve as a role model to the staff.
21. Inform Practice Manager of operational problems.
22. Maintain strictest confidentiality
23. Treat ALL Providers as a top priority
24. Adhere to approved company policies, procedures and philosophies.
25. Perform other related duties as assigned.
26. Treat all co-workers and patients with dignity and respect.
Supervisory Responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain sound employee relations with personnel at all levels of the organization.
2. Provide guidance and direction to management employees to assist in their professional development.
Skills
Oral and written communication, technical Communication, customer relations, diplomacy, negotiations, organization, planning, professionalism, time management
Experience
Prior supervisory experience in a busy medical practice is a must.
