Oil and Gas Superintendent oversees daily oil and gas operations activities at multiple facilities. Supervises and directs employees involved in production, drilling, maintenance, and/or construction through foreman and other lead staff. Being an Oil and Gas Superintendent requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Oil and Gas Superintendent manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be an Oil and Gas Superintendent typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. This intern will work with Senior Staff Engineers to learn the business processes, procedures, practices and regulations associated with coordination and performance of all aspects of engineering projects. Concept, design, development, drawings, specifications, project schedules, budget estimates, cost control, code compliance, etc. The incumbent assists in various projects as directed to gain hands on knowledge.
