    POSITION SUMMARY:

    This position is located in the Customer Service Administration Bureau, Distributed Systems Administration (DSA) section. This is a full-time position Monday-Friday, with rotation on-call that reports directly to the DSA Data Processing Manager.

     

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Specific duties include:

    • Responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and centrally managing enterprise desktop solutions in a local and wide area network environment;
    • Responsible for installing and configuring the department’s desktop and laptop systems, agency laptop encryption, mobile phone management, desktop antivirus management, desktop /laptop imaging, and asset management; and
    • Participating in assigned training classes and performing research to improve job knowledge and performance.

    To be considered as a potential candidate, you must meet the minimum qualifications(s) listed below. Degrees must be from an accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and one year of experience in computer systems analysis or computer programming; or
    2.  A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in one of the computer sciences or management information systems; or
    3.  A high school diploma or its equivalent and five years of experience in computer systems analysis or computer programming; or
    4. Any combination of education or experience, as described above, for a total of five years.
    5. Completion of a 720-classroom hour program of study from a vocational/technical school or accredited community college in an area of data processing* can substitute for one year of the required education or experience.
    6. Completion of a one-year program of study from a vocational/technical school in an area of data processing* can substitute for one year of the required education or experience.

    Note: 30 semester hours, or equivalent, of course work from an accredited college or university is equivalent to one year of experience. * Computer operations and data entry excluded in data processing experience

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    • Knowledge of telecommunications principles, equipment, procedures and terminology;
    • Knowledge of data processing equipment; knowledge of Windows 10 and 11;
    • Knowledge of problem-solving techniques;
    • Knowledge of desktop ticketing solutions;
    • Knowledge of enterprise desktop deployment solutions;
    • Knowledge of information security best practices;
    • Knowledge of computers and software; ability to work in a team environment; ability to process information logically and solve problems;
    • Ability to develop training programs related to distributed processing;
    • Ability to monitor and resolve problems with distributed systems components;
    • Ability to identify and define user task needs; and
    • Ability to communicate effectively; ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments.

     

    BASE SALARY:

    • $50,000.00

     

    NOTES:

    Starting salary will be at the minimum of the class pay range, unless otherwise dictated by FDLE's pay policy. The elements of this selection process may include a work sample and/or interview. Future vacancies may be filled from this position advertisement.
