Operations Lead jobs in Montgomery, AL

Schedule:

7AM-4PM Monday-Friday

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Make rounds to all equipment and all levels of Absorber, Dewatering, AS, Ammonia and Acid systems components. Monitor operating equipment for vibration and temperature. Take local gauge readings. Clean and rotate pH probes. Wash down areas of built up AS materials. Look for proper mechanical seal operation. Check systems after rotating redundant equipment.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

1. Regular walk down of all areas of Absorber, Dewatering, AS Handling, Ammonia System, Acid System, Gas duct, Gas burners.

2. Rotate and Clean pH probes.

3. Monitor safe operation of rotating equipment

4. Monitor Ammonia System for abnormalities, especially vapor and liquid leaks. Be present during Ammonia unloading

operations.

5. HAZOP duties

6. Maintain Operating log for all field local readings

7. Monitor for proper flow of all solid material, react to plugged conveyors, plugged chutes

GENERAL SKILLS:

1. Basic Computer Skills

2. Understand Process Flow Diagrams and P&IDs

3. Understand operation startup, shutdown and normal operations

4. Respond to process upset conditions and correct same.

5. Qualified HAZOP for safe Ammonia Control

PERSONAL SKILLS:

1. Computer Skills

2. Independent worker – Critical thinker, able to respond to adverse conditions

3. Ability to climb multiple stair levels

4. Able to work in different temperature environments

5. Work with PPE on around Ammonium Sulfate and Ammonia

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Read and Write, speak English as primary language

2. Recommend High School education with strong math and science skills

3. Ability to work 12 hour shifts

4. Communicate well with others

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
