Operations Supervisor supervises the daily activities of an operational unit. Monitors and assists staff to maintain workflow and achieve targeted operational and financial results. Being an Operations Supervisor implements practices to ensure compliance with operational policies and procedures. Resolves routine operational issues and escalates complex issues as needed. Additionally, Operations Supervisor prepares performance and progress reports for management to monitor and improve inefficiencies. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Operations Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be an Operations Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have mechanical knowledge, be familiar with OSHA regulations, and have experience with materials handling and shipping/receiving.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily operations of the warehouse
- Ensure all safety procedures are followed according to OSHA regulations
- Manage and train warehouse staff
- Oversee materials handling, including loading and unloading trucks
- Manage shipping and receiving processes
- Work with AS400 system to track inventory and shipments
- Coordinate with e-commerce team to ensure timely order fulfillment-
- Work with 3PL partners to manage inventory levels
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in a warehouse or distribution center environment
- Mechanical knowledge preferred
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Experience with materials handling, shipping/receiving, and AS400 system
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
