As a team lead at UWM, you will work in a fast paced, results driven environment.  In this position, you will play a dynamic role in leading a team centered on Data Operations. Our expanding team is looking for an inspirational leader who can provide guidance, mentorship, and operational support within the data vertical.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Must Have Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field.
• At least 5 years of experience in data operations, or similar.
• Extensive knowledge of database structures, theories, principles, and tools like SQL.
• Proven experience leading teams within an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD methodologies and tools.
• Ability to communicate with strong technical skills
• Ability to work with limited guidance in a team environment
• Strong analytical problem solving, technical and organizational skills
• Experience with customer and team member management (setting expectations, exemplary communication and leadership abilities)
• Ability to mentor developers

Nice to Have Qualifications:

• At least 2 years in supervisory roles.
• Experience working with cloud-based data solutions, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and AI.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex datasets and structures.
• Exceptional leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• Lead, mentor, and motivate a dynamic team of data professionals, nurturing an environment of collaboration and inclusive growth.
• Manage day-to-day operations related to data extraction, transformation, loading (ETL), and visualization processes.
• Collaborate with data science, engineering, product, and business teams to comprehend and implement data operational requirements.
• Monitor and optimize data pipelines, ensuring accurate and efficient data delivery.
• Maintain, support, and utilize CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) tools.
• Ensure compliance with data systems standards and policies, and maintain data operations documentation.
• Develop strategic plans in line with the company's business objectives and data needs.
• Track, report, and resolve data-related issues, boosting platform stability and user experience.
