We are a small, family owned and operated optometry practice located in Bedford, PA. We are looking for an energetic and friendly individual to join our team. We offer an attractive work schedule with 4 day work weeks (Tuesday through Friday), 3 day weekends and paid lunches, PTO, simple IRA matching plan as well as vision care employee benefits. Job Description:

Optician:

• Provides vision care to patients in a clinic setting including reading prescriptions, taking vision measurements, and making contact lens fittings.
• Assist with frame selections
• Calculate vision insurance benefits
• Bill vision insurances
• Perform spectacle adjustments, fittings and dispenses

Skills & Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Must be comfortable with patient privacy and confidentiality (will undergo HIPAA training)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for this position.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
