Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our dynamic team. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing top-notch eye care services to our patients. You will work closely with the ophthalmology team to diagnose and treat a wide range of eye conditions, including vision problems, eye injuries, and other medical issues.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye exams, including visual acuity tests, refractions, and other diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe glasses, contact lenses, and other corrective devices as needed.
- Diagnose and treat eye conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, and age-related macular degeneration.
- Provide medical coding and billing services for eye care services.
- Utilize EMR to document patient information and maintain accurate records.
- Offer senior care and pediatric eye care services, including providing guidance on eye health and preventative measures.
- Maintain current knowledge of medical terminology and ophthalmology best practices.
- Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Conduct vital sign checks and monitor patient health status.
- Provide patients with information on eye care and offer sales and marketing support for optical products and services.
- Ensure all patient interactions are professional, respectful, and empathetic.
Qualifications:
- A Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program.
- A current license to practice optometry in the state where the position is located.
- Experience with Epic software and medical coding and billing systems.
- Strong knowledge of ophthalmology, medical terminology, and physiology.
- Excellent communication and sales skills.
- Ability to work effectively with patients of all ages, including seniors and children.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing tasks efficiently.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry best practices.
What We Offer:
