Being an Order Clerk confirms orders, updates shipping status, and notifies customers of any backorder or delivery delays. Researches and resolves order errors and updates the system. Additionally, Order Clerk may prepare packing lists or other order-related documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. A national manufacturing & distribution company is looking for an experienced Order Entry Clerk to support them through their busy season.
The Order Entry Clerk will respond to client order inquiries via email, and some via phone. This position is responsible for confirming and entering all product information, pricing details, and shipping information for all new orders. In addition, this role assists with the processing of returns and/or exchanges. To be successful in this position, the Order Entry Clerk will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills while maintaining high quality & accurate work. This role works closely with the purchasing & inventory department on part availabilities and enters orders into the database for processing.
This is an onsite, full time contract, 8am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday. This is a contract estimated to last for six to eight months.
