Receives and processes orders for materials and merchandise. Being an Order Entry Clerk I researches and resolves order errors and updates the system. Confirms orders, updates shipping status, and notifies customers of any backorder or delivery delays. In addition, Order Entry Clerk I may prepare packing lists or other order-related documentation. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. Being an Order Entry Clerk I works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Are you a stickler for details and love keeping things organized? We’re in need of an Order Entry Associate to join our team, primarily focused on orders get being smoothly translated into our computer system. There's more to it - you won’t just be punching keys all day. You’ll also play a key role in managing and updating orders as they move through the fulfillment process. Plus, you’ll be the go-to person for various administrative tasks to help out our Fulfillment & Logistics Manager.

The Essential Duties- Receive and review incoming orders
- Enter order details into the company's order management system with precision and efficiency
- Verify order accuracy, including product codes, quantities, pricing, and shipping information
- Communicate with customers to clarify order details, address inquiries, and resolve any issues or discrepancies
- Coordinate with other departments, such as sales, warehouse, and shipping, to expedite order processing and fulfillment
- Monitor order status and proactively identify any potential delays or problems, taking appropriate action to ensure on-time delivery
- Generate and maintain accurate records of orders, invoices, and customer interactions for future reference and analysis
- Assist in resolving billing or payment issues, working closely with the finance department as needed
- Collaborate with the customer service team to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
- Continuously seek opportunities to streamline order entry processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the overall customer experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in order entry, customer service, or related fields is preferred
- Proficiency in data entry and computer skills, including familiarity with order management software or ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and workload demands
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities as needed
- Able to sit for extended periods of time
- The compensation for this role is a competitive hourly rate plus a biannual bonus, determined by individual performance paired with company performance and goals
