Position Overview:

MNL is a full-service ecological restoration company with a mission to Heal the Earth. We provide decades of experience, knowledge, industry leadership and a variety of services and products. Our services range from backyard native seeding to large-scale restoration, bioengineering and everything in between.

MNL Seed division produces, warehouses, and sells premium native seed that helps Heal the Earth by providing unique habitat for pollinators and other wildlife, as well as providing erosion control and water quality benefits. Seed is provided as individual species, MNL designed seed mixes, and custom mixes for our customers, which range from homeowners to contractors and non-profits. Our goal is to provide high-quality seed products that have the best chance of success on each individual customer project site. We are looking for a staff member that will assist in our mission, while maintaining a high standard of quality and efficiency. This role is a full-time position with seasonal variability, based at our MNL Foley, MN location.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Properly weighs and mixes all grass and wildflower seed to fill orders, either by hand or with mixing machinery.
• Assist in packaging and shipping seed orders, working to ensure proper packaging for each order type.
• Check in new products by helping to unload, assign labels, and warehouse each item.
• Product integrity: Follow processes to ensure the right order goes to the right customer on time.
• Maintain highly organized fulfillment area and seed warehouse space, avoiding contamination and loss of product.
• Verifies proper seed storage, including temperature, humidity, and pest control.
• Assist Order Fulfillment Team Lead to complete orders.
• Maintains an attitude of Safety throughout each process.
• Performs other duties as assigned within the Products department, which may include field and Greenhouse work occasionally.

Required Qualifications:

• Previous warehouse and order fulfillment experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a pallet jack and forklift, including forklift certification within 6 months of start date.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain organization while dealing with numerous tasks.
• Detail-oriented and able to keep a clean workspace.
• Hard-working and capable of working independently.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, reach and move as needed in order to complete various order fulfillment duties.
• Prolonged periods of time standing.
• Majority of workdays take place in a seed warehouse with exposure to dust common.
• Able to work an occasional weekend as necessary.
