Orthopedic Technician applies and adjusts plaster casts and assembles and attaches orthopedic traction equipment and devices as directed by a physician. Sets up bed traction units or rigs special devices as required, and inspects and adjusts bandages and equipment. Being an Orthopedic Technician requires a high school diploma or its equivalent, completion of Orthopedic Technician training and certification program. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. US Got People is seeking an Orthopedic Technician in support of the Orthopedics Department at the Military Treatment Facilities located in and around the MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, FL.
Schedule/Location:
•Monday - Friday 0700-1630 with a 60 minute lunch.
Responsibilities:
•Maintain clean and well-stocked cast and soft goods room; clean and maintain patient rooms, including restocking supplies and removing sharps containers as necessary; order special supplies, medications, and/or equipment.
Requirements:
•Basic Life Support through the American Red Cross or American Heart Association is required
