Position Summary:

The Packaging Sales Specialist is a unique role that will report to a Key Accounts Manager at Pregis and the Director of Commercial Sales at IPS, for the execution of sales plans and initiatives. The Packaging Sales Specialist priorities are sales growth, strategic planning, tactical support, problem resolution and training. They should be consistently seeking ways to exceed the needs of our customers and internal stakeholders.

Position Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with the Commercial Sales Group to drive new and grow existing business.
• The critical focus is on building and maintaining relationships, while driving new business development within the CSG Group, as well as maximizing sales volume growth consistent with overall business profit margin performance and emphasizing the Pregis product lines as a competitive value-added advantage to our customers.
• Providing product education and support.
• Actively monitoring the margin of current business to improve profitability of the overall region.

• Working closely with Pregis team members, including field team, customer service, regional plants, pricing team, etc.
• Effective retention of the established book of business by facilitating positive, growth-oriented relationships, sales strategy development, and using internal tools to monitor business.

• Help supporting effective implementation of new Pregis program sales initiatives, marketing programs, and incentives.
• Monitor and track all KPIs for IPS and Pregis run programs with the goal to meet and/or exceed expectations.
• Leverage technology to conduct analysis and assist with problem resolution.
• Recommend sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analysis.
• Meet with key customers, assist Managers and Sales Representatives with maintaining relationships, negotiations, problem resolution, business reviews and closing new business.
• Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client expansion.
• Work closely with Marketing for website, microsite and lead generation ideas.
• Consistent onsite presence for internal focus and opportunities.
• An advocate for Pregis and to provide insight to Pregis team members on how to best support IPS and the CSG team.
• Conduct kick-off calls in support of the implantation plan and other initiatives.
• Help coordinate and support the IPS Outside team to Pregis contacts.
• Meet with each IPS CSG Division Sales Manager weekly to discuss pipeline progress.
• Provide a call report weekly with Pregis manager and discuss progress.
• Input all opportunities into Pregis’ CRM tool C4C.
• Coordinate directly with Pregis AMs and Specialist directly for each opportunity requiring support.
• Conduct training monthly with the CSG team on products.

Accountability

• Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of new opportunities.

• Primary accountability for the achievement of sales and gross profit forecasts, as well as KPI’s defined jointly by IPS and Pregis.
• Travel requirements (up to 10%).

• Highly effective negotiation and communication skills.
• Microsoft Office expertise, especially in Excel and PowerPoint

• Demonstrate problem solving, analytical and organized with relentless attention to detail.
• Must be a self-starter, highly motivated and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent amount of working experience in business administration environments.
• 10 or more years of business-to-business sales experience
• 7 or more years of management experience
