PACS Administrator is responsible for the daily operations of the Picture Archiving and Communications Systems. Oversees equipment maintenance and systems testing, upgrading, and installing. Being a PACS Administrator acts as a liaison between the Radiology department and customers. Maintains positive vendor relationship. Additionally, PACS Administrator requires a bachelor's degree. Requires a certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The PACS Administrator supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Parkview Memorial Association is seeking a highly qualified, dynamic, and enthusiastic candidate to fill its new Administrator position. This is a new management position within the organization. The administrator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and functions of the office staff.
This position will be expected to direct and participate with other staff to ensure that the records are efficiently managed, transactional work is accomplished in a timely and complete manor and work directly with families and visitors to ensure they have a respectful and positive experience.
As a small team, all Parkview employees work very closely together both as colleagues and with the public. Experience on a team and/or capabilities working within a team are key, as are strong organizational and computer skills.
Responsibilities
Serving Families
o Assist families in the Livonia community by helping them make their cemetery arrangements. Resolve issues arising from cemetery operations that affect families and coordinate funeral activities
o Approve site of burial, opening of gravesites, burial of remains, cremations, and other related tasks.
Oversee and Improve Administrative Processes
o Collaborate with Management staff to determine appropriate long-term recording-keeping processes and lead the entry and future development of this process improvement.
o Review forms and other administrative methods to improve procedures and operations.
o Supervise the collection, recordation and issuance of receipts to customers and deposit payments with outsourced accountant
Other Functions
o Ensure a positive, productive and safe work environment
o Supervise, evaluate, train and set performance standards for staff and partners
o Coordinate schedules for appointments, employee time-off requests, etc.
o Prepare regular reports
Skills
Education
o A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Business Administration preferred. In the absence of a degree, candidates are required to have completed necessary college-level courses and have the appropriate managerial, supervisory and administrative work experience.
Experience
o Minimum five (5) years industry experience in the applicable discipline with progressively increased responsibilities
o Minimum (2) years of experience managing people or projects
o Budgeting and expense control experience strongly preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
o Ability to work some evenings and weekends
o Financial and business acumen
o Proficient in MS Office suite
o Confidence in the ability to use/learn new technology
o Excellent customer service skills
o Professional interpersonal skills as well as cultural sensitivity and tactfulness to interact with a variety of cultures and language barriers
