About us

The Law Offices of Dora M. Komura is a boutique law firm located in Pasadena, specializing in immigration services for the entertainment industry.

Dora and her team specialize in attaining U.S. nonimmigrant visas for foreign nationals on behalf of various studios, agencies and production companies in the entertainment industry. The team also handles a select variety of other immigration services, such as marriage and employment-based green cards and citizenship.

We are looking for a candidate at the administrative assistant/paralegal level to add to our team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (will vary according to experience):

• Gather case evidence and documentation
• Prepare and file forms and documents
• Draft retainer agreements, approval letters and other client correspondence
• Send petitions to US government agencies
• Maintain case database
• Organize and archive case documents
• General office tasks – answer phones, check and sort mail, schedule meetings

REQUIREMENTS:

• High attention to detail
• Positive attitude and the ability to be proactive, resourceful and flexible
• Strong people skills, with a focus on collaboration and ability to work effectively as part of a team

STARTING SALARY: DOE - A University Degree and/or Experience is preferred, but not required.

OTHER:

• 3-month Probationary Period

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
