May require a bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Park Naturalist is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. DEFINITION
Under direct supervision of Program Supervisor, will lead education and life style functions of the environmental education school; lead and direct students in following the instructional program, and in maintaining a safe and secure facility; perform required clerical functions; do related work as directed. This position is seasonal and as such works a limited schedule based on the needs of the program. The program year generally operates between October – May.
Experience:
One year of experience with children and/or environmental education preferred.
Education:
A BA or BS degree from an accredited college or university preferred or the completion of a BA or BS within one year of hire.
