Park Naturalist plans, develops, and conducts programs to inform the public of historical, natural, and scientific features concerning national, state, or local parks. May require a bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Park Naturalist is familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Prince George’s County Department of Parks and Recreation, Natural and Historic Resources Division, is currently seeking Seasonal/Intermittent applicants to fill a part time Park Naturalist - Seasonal position at Patuxent River Park in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. This position pays at a rate of $16.25 per hour, up to 40 hours a week March-November including one weekend day. Accrued paid sick leave is available, but no other benefits are included.
