HMC Parking/Commuter Services has an outstanding opportunity for a full time 100% FTE day shiftPARKING SUPERVISOR 2. The Parking Supervisor 2 will direct the operations section of a large parking services program.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
Direct an operations section of a large parking services program; responsible for coordination of parking for major campus events requiring direct and detailed communication with public safety, fire, health and other related departments; supervise parking staff.
TYPICAL WORK:
With delegated authority, interview and recommend selection of applicants, train new employees, assign and schedule work, act upon leave requests, conduct annual performance evaluations and recommend disciplinary action;
Ensure proper working condition of parking system equipment, e.g., radio communications systems, toll gates, coin changers and related;
Assist in the development of the departmental budget;
Interpret parking and traffic regulations;
Inspect parking areas;
Work with departments to resolve special parking problems, e.g., loading zone, reserved parking, construction;
Determine staff and equipment needed for athletic or special events;
Perform related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma, or GED Certificate; AND four years of experience in a high-volume parking system, one year of which must be in a supervisory capacity. College coursework in business administration, or related field, may substitute, year-for-year, for required experience, excluding supervisory experience.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration. - 2 Months Ago
