Parts Manager supports the parts department with technical, procedural, inventory control, and parts exchange support. Manages material and parts in accordance with production schedules and commitments. Being a Parts Manager monitors and troubleshoots all backorders and communicates and provides technical assistance to parts sales, customers, and branches. Monitors the parts inventory database and places orders as needed. Additionally, Parts Manager reviews progress reports on schedule status, parts usage, and inventory and makes necessary adjustments. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Parts Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Parts Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Job Summary

    AG Industrial Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Parts Manager to oversee and manage our parts department's daily operations. The ideal candidate will ensure that our team delivers high-quality service, maintains an organized inventory, and meets the needs of both our internal and external customers. This role is vital in supporting the sales and service departments by ensuring prompt availability of parts and excellent customer service.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Inventory Management: Maintain an accurate parts inventory, including regular cycle counts, stock orders, and reconciliation. Ensure availability of critical parts, minimize overstock, and oversee ordering to maintain optimal inventory levels.
    • Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to both internal and external customers. Handle customer inquiries, orders, and returns promptly and professionally to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Team Supervision: Lead, train, and manage a team of parts personnel. Develop team members’ skills and maintain a collaborative, positive work environment.
    • Vendor Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
    • Sales Support: Assist the sales and service teams with parts identification, availability, and pricing. Provide guidance on parts specifications and product knowledge.
    • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and streamline parts department processes, including inventory management, ordering, and customer service.
    • Reporting: Prepare and analyze reports on parts sales, inventory levels, and departmental performance. Utilize insights from reports to optimize inventory and enhance customer service.
    • Budget Management: Work within allocated budgets to maximize department profitability and minimize expenses.
    • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that the parts department follows all safety regulations and maintains a clean, organized workspace.

    Qualifications

    • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a parts department or inventory management role, preferably in the agricultural, industrial, or automotive industries. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
    • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of parts inventory management, ordering processes, and vendor relations. Familiarity with agricultural and industrial equipment parts is a plus.
    • Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Customer-Oriented: Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and team members.
    • Problem Solving: Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions to maintain smooth operations.

    Working Conditions

    • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
    • Hours: Full-time position, with occasional overtime required during peak seasons.
