Parts Manager supports the parts department with technical, procedural, inventory control, and parts exchange support. Manages material and parts in accordance with production schedules and commitments. Being a Parts Manager monitors and troubleshoots all backorders and communicates and provides technical assistance to parts sales, customers, and branches. Monitors the parts inventory database and places orders as needed. Additionally, Parts Manager reviews progress reports on schedule status, parts usage, and inventory and makes necessary adjustments. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Parts Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Parts Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. SUMMARY:
Ascendance is in need for a full-time, experienced Parts Manager. The successful Parts Manager strives to return a satisfactory profit on dealer capital invested in parts inventory. Accomplishes objectives using proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, security, pricing, merchandising, displaying, and advertising. Responsibilities:
- Manage the parts department and oversee all aspects of parts inventory, procurement, and pricing.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their parts needs and inquiries.
- Utilize DMS and other systems to accurately track and manage parts inventory.
- Collaborate with service technicians to identify necessary parts for repairs and maintenance.
- Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and strives to meet them.
- Perform data entry to update and maintain accurate records of parts transactions.
- Source and procure parts from various suppliers, ensuring quality and competitive pricing.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure favorable pricing and terms for parts purchases.
Skills:
- Strong customer service skills to effectively assist customers with their parts needs.
- Proficiency in using DMS and other systems for managing parts inventory.
- Knowledge of automotive diagnostics to accurately identify necessary parts for repairs.
- Excellent data entry skills to maintain accurate records of parts transactions.
- Ability to source, procure, and negotiate with vendors for quality parts at competitive prices.
