Job Summary:
We are a growing Chiropractic, Physical Medicine, and Primary Care clinic. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will provide essential support to healthcare professionals in a clinic setting. Your primary responsibilities will include charting, medical administrative support, and patient care.
Duties:
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Scribe chart notes for providers as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, and reinforce the front desk when needed
- Provide patient education on medications, procedures, and follow-up care
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing, including blood draws
Skills:
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to provide compassionate care
- Proficient in medical administrative tasks, including record keeping and charting
- Understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and coding
- Ability to accurately measure and record vital signs
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Computer literacy (email, website navigation, software) is required; experience with AdvancedMD is a definite advantage
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant is a plus
- Phlebotomy certificate is advantageous
