Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Pastor to lead our congregation in Rancho Cucamonga, CA .
As the spiritual leader of our church, this position will be responsible to lead, feed and protect the Church:
LEAD in vision and direction; FEED through teaching and preaching; and PROTECT the flock from being led astray by false doctrine.
The ideal candidate would have strong leadership and communication skills, a deep understanding of biblical teachings, and a passion for serving others.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Lead Pastor:
-Lead the church which operates under the authority and guidance of Jesus Christ and the elders.
-Direct all staff affairs which includes the hiring, termination and management of all hired and volunteer work done on behalf of the Church.
-Responsible to discern the vision, direction and methods of ministry at the Church.
-Work in congress with the eldership in finalizing hires, terminations, vision, direction, and methods of ministries previously mentioned.
-Collaborate with the elders to establish policies and by-laws of the Church.
-Responsibility to present an annual budget to the Church elders.
-As the Lead Pastor and Lead Teacher of the Church, responsible to preach/teach most of the Sunday morning services.
-Conduct baptisms, weddings, funerals, and other ceremonies.
-Collaborate with church staff and volunteers to plan and organize events, such as retreats, conferences,and community outreach programs.
-Provide guidance and mentorship to associate pastors and church leaders.
-Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all members of the congregation.
Qualifications:
- Ordained in ministry
- Strong knowledge of biblical teachings and theology
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to deliver engaging sermons that connect with diverse audiences
- Experience in Christian counseling, including bereavement support
We prefer a minimum of 3 years of pastoral experience in any ministry role, with a proven track record of effective leadership, ministry development, and community outreach.
